Scottish festival that’s ‘beer lovers’ Glastonbury’ celebrates 15 years ahead of 2027 ticket sales

Love beer and music? Then get ready to book tickets to this much-loved Scottish festival writes Rosalind Erskine.

With the Glastonbury ticket sales a disappointment for most, many will be searching for their summer hit of sunshine and music in a field. While Scotland isn’t guaranteed sunny weather, there will be great live acts and pints galore at the 2027 FyneFest, which is celebrating 15 years in 2027.

Set up in 2010, FyneFest is the brainchild of family-owned business Fyne Ales in Argyll and it returns from 4-6 June 2027, with tickets going on sale at 9am on Friday 30 October.

Now in its 15th year, the festival brings over 2000 people to the stunning Glen Fyne for a weekend of independent beer, live music, food and camping on the brewery's working farm.

Beer is at the heart of the festival, with over 100 different beers pouring throughout the weekend. The line-up will include a selection from independent breweries across the UK, alongside beers from Fyne Ales and Origins Brewing. The Main Bar has 72 beer lines, while a dedicated cider bar, wine and spirits offer plenty of choice beyond beer.

The festival's famous Walkers Bar has become an annual tradition for many festival goers. Opening for just four hours on Saturday afternoon, it’s an hour walk up the glen from the main festival site, and hosts a pop up cask bar beside the water. It's an excellent reason to bring your walking shoes.

The festival site has live music across several stages, a ceilidh, street food, brewer talks and tastings, yoga, a charity 5k run and activities for children. Most festival-goers camp for the weekend, with music and beer continuing through Sunday. It’s like a mini Glastonbury for beer lovers, and in beautiful surroundings.

It’s one that has always been on my bucket list, having visited the brewery and enjoyed their beers for years. Seeing pictures from the festival, especially when it’s sunny (which it seems to be a lot that weekend) of friends, families and dogs all enjoying a weekend of entertainment and good drinks; it looks fabulous. As the chance of getting Glastonbury tickets diminishes, why not try something much smaller in Scotland for your summer festival next year?

The 2027 festival follows a big year for Fyne Ales. The family-run brewery celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2026, having also picked up Brewery Business of the Year at the SIBA Business Awards and the UK's Best Independent Brewery Taproom award.

Aidy Fenwick, head of marketing and events at Fyne Ales, said: “I recently came across some photos from the very first FyneFest in 2010, including one of our managing director, Jamie Delap, looking very fresh-faced behind the bar. Fast forward to our 14th festival this year, and he was still putting in a shift!

“It's pretty special to be part of a festival that's grown so much over the years but hasn't lost what made it great in the first place. At its heart, FyneFest is still about family, friends, good beer and having a great time together.”

FyneFest 2027 will take place from Friday 4 - Sunday 6 June at Fyne Ales, Achadunan, Cairndow, Argyll. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 30 October 2026, with prices held at 2026 levels. The full beer and music line-ups will be announced in the coming months.
