Brewdog launch Mashtag social media beer project

SCOTTISH brewery Brewdog are lauching an online campaign to crowdsource the style, flavour and design of their latest beer.

The Mashtag project follows a successful first attempt at the project last year, in which followers of the Ellon brewery vote on various aspects of the beer over the course of a week.

Followers of Brewdog will choose between a Pilsner, Red Ale or Porter style beer today, and choose from a range of malts, ABVs, hop varieties, the label design and a special twist in a series of daily votes.

Last year’s Mashtag beer, as designed by Brewdog fans, was an American Brown Ale made with hops from New Zealand, aged on oak chips and hazelnuts.
