Artist’s limited edition of Extra Pale launched

Artist and playwright John Byrne is launching a limited edition beer for the brewery Barney’s Beers.

The new locally brewed Extra Pale launch comprises of 200 limited edition labels drawn by John Byrne. The artist joined Barney’s Beers at Edinburgh’s Summerhall to launch the product.

Barney’s Beer have three well-established favourites, Good Ordinary Pale Ale, Red Rye and Volcano IPA. To launch the latest addition to the Summerhall brewery’s arsenal, Barney invited John Byrne to create something special.

Summerhall general manager said: “We love having Barney and Barney’s Beer on site and it’s great to have this new beer, produced at the venue, with the John Byrne seal of approval. The 200 bottles will be cropping up all over Edinburgh, in our bar The Royal Dick and our Summerhall Beer Festival with Barney’s in May – good luck finding your limited edition bottle!”

Barney’s is stocked at The Lioness of Leith, Scran & Scallie, The Dogs, Greg Grog, Vino Wines, Harvey Nichols and Henri Delicatessen to name but a few.
