For many as soon as the current social distancing restrictions are lifted they’ll be hitting the pubs to enjoy the sunshine and finally catch up with friends and family. Here are some of our favourite Edinburgh beer gardens we can’t wait to visit after lockdown.
5. The Outhouse, 12A Broughton St Lane
Situated close to the ever popular Broughton Street, this walled off beer garden is hugely popular with locals and visitors alike and for good reason. The bar offers great value beers, cocktails and other drinks while the walled off space offers plenty of privacy. Photo: The Outhouse
6. The Pear Tree, 38 West Nicolson St
Students, professionals and tourists flock to The Pear Tree on sunny days, so it's lucky that this is probably the roomiest beer garden in Edinburgh. With picnic tables galore there's room for everyone. Photo: The Pear Tree
7. The Beehive Inn, 18-22 Grassmarket
The pedestrianised area around the Grassmarket is already a sun trap, and the perfect place to catch a few rays in the Beehive Inn’s outdoor seating area. Photo: The Beehive Inn
8. The Pitt, Pitt St
Combining the effortless cool of a beer garden with some of Scotland's top street food vendors, the Pitt pretty much has everything you want on a sunny day. Photo: Alix McIntosh
