If you’re looking to add a four-legged friend to your family, these loving pooches are all looking for a good home.
Choosing to get a dog is a huge decision to make, and one that more of us than ever before have taken in recent year – around one-in-three UK households now contain at least one four-legged friend.
While some are seeking a new puppy, other big-hearted potential dog owners are happy to adopt a pet that is looking for a new forever home after perhaps not having the best start in life.
The Dogs Trust are dedicated to matching up dogs in need of a home with their perfect owner, and their centre in Glasgow currently has a wide selection of pooches.
To see if you’re a potential match, just fill in an application form here with all your details and let the Dogs Tust match you up with a suitable pet.
They’ll then look at how closely your lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and, if you’re a great fit for your selected animal, they’ll invite you to meet your prospective pup.
They may also organise a home check to make sure it’s suitable for your new family member.
You can also pop into the rehoming centre before submitting the application to see the dogs beforehand.
Here are 13 of the dogs currently looking for a home.

5. Hansel
Hansel is a very handsome 10-month-old German Shepherd/Rough Collie cross. As a mix of two active breeds, he would love an active home with a family who will keep him mentally busy with training and games too. Hansel is looking to have direct access from the home into a secure garden with a minimum 6ft fence. He loves other dogs so would be happy to live with a canine companion, and older children (aged 14 years and over). Hansel hasn't really been left alone before so is looking to have pretty much constant companionship, and for any time that he is left alone to be built up very gradually over time, so that he isn't overwhelmed. | Dogs Trust
Percy is a handsome boy who has a great personality and lots of love to give. He is a 5-year-old Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog who is very playful and loves being groomed. Percy is looking to have access to his own secure and private garden with a 6ft (minimum) fence where he can roll around to his heart's content. He is looking to be the only pet in the home and is looking to be kept on a lead and muzzle whilst out and about, but he can walk with dog friends. He can get overwhelmed by other dogs so would enjoy walks in areas that aren't too populated by other dogs. | Dogs Trust
Handsome Hunter is a happy 3-year-old Bull Terrier who loves to make new friends. He loves to play with other dogs so would enjoy socialising with other dogs on his walks and could share his home with another dog. He could also live with children aged 14 years and over. Hunter is looking to have direct access into a secure garden with a 5ft minimum fence. He could be left alone for a couple of hours as he has been comfortable with this in his foster home, but this should be built up gradually so that he isn't overwhelmed. | Dogs Trust
Milo is a happy hound who is looking for a very active family who love hiking and long walks and can share his home with people over the age of 16. In typical hound fashion, this boy loves his grub and will do anything for a tasty treat. He is a smart fella who is looking to be kept busy - mentally and physically in his new home. This sweet boy is looking for direct access to a secure garden with a minimum of 5ft fencing. Milo is looking to be the only pet in the home but would definitely benefit from socialising with other dogs on his walks. | Dogs Trust
