For those seeking an escape, Waverley offers unforgettable day trips to the magical islands and villages scattered along central Scotland’s coast.

Step into a world of history and tranquillity as you set foot on the picturesque Isle of Bute. Waverley’s sailings to Rothesay takes you ‘Doon the Watter’ on journey through time, where Victorian grandeur meets stunning natural landscapes. Explore the historic Rothesay Castle, perched on the water's edge, and wander through the delightful gardens of Mount Stuart. Indulge in delicious local seafood at quaint cafes or simply take a leisurely stroll along the promenade, soaking in the serene beauty of this enchanting town. Waverley sails from Glasgow to Rothesay every Friday in July and August. On July 28, August 11 and August 25 you can stay aboard to cruise the Bute Coast to Kilchattan Bay.

Prepare to be awe-inspired by the rugged beauty of Brodick, nestled on the Isle of Arran. As Waverley approach the shores of Brodick Bay, marvel at the majestic peaks of the Arran mountains dominating the skyline. Explore the magnificent Brodick Castle and its stunning gardens, steeped in history and surrounded by breathtaking views.

For the adventurous souls, Arran offers a plethora of outdoor activities, from hiking and mountain biking to golfing and wildlife spotting. Waverley sails from Glasgow to Brodick on Monday, August 14 and Sunday, August 20. Or join Waverley at Largs by inclusive coach from Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station on Thursdays, July 27 and August 10 and 24.

Sunset cruising

Looking for a romantic evening on the water or a night out with friends? Then Waverley’s Evening Sunset Cruises are just what you need. Departing from Glasgow on the evening of Friday, August 4 and 25, these cruises offer a chance to relax and unwind as you enjoy the scenic views of Glasgow’s river.

Live traditional Scottish music will keep you entertained throughout the evening, with full catering facilities available there will be delicious food and drink that you can enjoy as you watch the sun set over the water. Don't miss out on this unique experience.
