Competition! Your chance to win the only book about electric cars that we’ve seen this morning

WANT a book all about the past, present and future of electric cars? Neither do we! So we’re giving it away.

Written by vehicle author and anagram gold-mine Arvid Linde, “Electric Cars – The Future is Now!” (copyright: 1950s advertising executives) catalogues the electric cars on the market today, weighs up the pros and cons of getting one and looks ahead at what might be round the corner.

Described by one reviewer on Amazon.com as containing “a number of factual inaccuracies” and “out-of-date or erroneous information about various current or forthcoming electric vehicles”, the RAC-published book is a series of pages with words and pictures printed on them, bound together in an easily-manageable book format.

Och, it’s actually quite an interesting read – as well as being packed with pics and info on current (ha! current!) and future electric cars, it also discusses the environment, safety, politics and pretty much every aspect of the whole fuel debate.

So, want to win a copy? All you have to do is add a comment to this story (you’ll need to register with scotsman.com if you haven’t already), telling us a clean electric-themed joke. Funniest one (based on motoring editor’s arbitrary and unpredictable definition of “funniest”) wins. Closing date is Friday 21 October, 2pm. We’ll e-mail the winner and announce the result here!
