Beauty: Go nuts and treat yourself to a deluxe Brazilian makeover

First up is the hair. Grazia has dubbed it "Blondettes" but Simon Hill, of Leith salon Sesh, is already offering the Sao Paolo look via the exclusive Brazilian Glaze.
"It's about being very natural," says creative director Simon, who's tamed the tresses of everyone from Shirley Manson to Lily Cole. "After the past few months, we decided to focus our summer trend on the outdoor glamour of Brazil. Supermodels like Isabeli Fontana, Ana Beatriz Barros and Ana Claudia Michels influenced us, but with the Brazilian Glaze it's all about a summer look – just back from playing volleyball at the beach style."

Hide AdColour is key to grant even the mousiest of locks the coveted creamy caramel, honey and cocoa tones. A selection of highlights of differing widths need to be scattered through the mid-lengths to the ends and then a toning glaze applied to the whole head for shimmer.
"Getting this look spot-on is about random highlighting and using the right palette," says Simon. "My colouring team are using matt – natural tones without warmth. To achieve that all-important healthy looking gloss, it's vital to have a prescribed conditioning treatment maximised using heat."
Then there's styling. Hair should be worn thick and bouncy so inject volume with a quality styling product. Try James Brown London Voluptuous Boost Volumising Mousse (4.88, Boots), MOP Glistening Volumising Spray (9.74, Harvey Nichols), and Sebastian Whipped Creme (16.75, Sesh) mousse.
"Don't be afraid of the straightening irons either," advises Simon. "You can achieve this carefree, sexy look no matter what Mother Nature blessed you with. It isn't about perfection – this is unstructured styling, loose fresh and ideal for a hot dry summer. Wide-barreled tongs are the new GHDs so get to grips with them."
Then it's time to get some summer bronze on the skin. Achieve the correct bronzed base with a self tan such as Rodial Tan Dark (39, DollyLeo, 0131-315 2035), or the hydrating Self Tan Gel (39, DollyLeo) gives a caramel tint that develops into a natural tan. Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess Golden Perfection Tinted Self-tanning gel (19.57, John Lewis) and Clinique's Body Tinted Lotion (14.68, John Lewis) are great alternatives.
Use a tinted moisturiser such as Clarins Hydra-Care tinted moisturiser (18.10) and then sweep a shimmer bronzing powder across the temples, cheeks, nose and eyes to create the illusion of a healthy tan. Bobbi Brown's shimmer palettes are unbeatable. Finish off with some smoky eyeliner, lashings of mascara and nude lip gloss.
Sesh, in Bernard Street, Leith, is offering the Brazilian Glaze from just 100, inclusive of cut, the new conditioning colour, highlights and blow dry. Call 0131-555 0708 to book.
