Leigh Griffiths with heartfelt tribute after opening the scoring for Celtic against Hamilton
The Parkhead forward struck a low shot from outside the penalty area to put the reigning champions on the path to victory. He then ran behind the goal to pick up a t-shirt which he held up for the photographers to see. It simply read: “RIP Liam.”
The Scottish international revealed earlier this week the sad loss of his cousin in an Instagram post. He wrote: “Can't believe it... Gone far too soon big cousin. RIP Liam Griffiths. YNWA [You’ll Never Walk Alone]”
