Three more Scottish patients die of flu


Health Protection Scotland also revealed that a further seven patients with flu had been admitted to intensive care in the last week.
A total of 78 patients have needed intensive care treatment for flu this winter - seven of these suffering from the swine flu strain of the illness.

Hide AdThe figures came after it emerged a Scottish patient from Sanquhar with swine flu has been receiving specialist treatment at a hospital in Leicester.
Yesterday a spokeswoman for NHS Dumfries and Galloway said: “The patient who was transferred to a specialist hospital in Leicester to be treated for the H1N1 virus is currently critical but stable.”
