Political lift for bra bikers

POLITICIANS yesterday lent their support today to a group of bra-clad motorcyclists raising money for a cancer charity.

About 120 men and women set off on a ride across Scotland in pink underwear to raise 40,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. First Minister Alex Salmond said: "I pledge my support and encourage others to do the same. This is an unusual and innovative way of raising funds."

The bikers' 450-mile journey began in Kilmarnock and passes through Oban, Inverness and Fort William, before ending in Glasgow on Monday.
