From Friday, people will be allowed to meet one other household outdoors, as long as physical distancing is in place.

Also, garden centres, recycling centres and constructions sites will be opening up from Friday.

Ms Sturgeon said that she was ‘nervous’ about announcing these changes, and asks the public to make sure that they stick to them, and to use their judgement to avoid another spike saying: “we do not want people flocking to beauty spots and tourist hot spots.”

She added that the rough guidance was not to stray more than five miles from your home.

If people see crowds of people in area’s, they are encouraged not to join them.

The First Minister has confirmed that she will cancel lockdown easing if people aren’t following the guidelines, though she added that she has “enormous trust and faith in the Scottish people.”
