More babies born outside marriage unmarried

THE number of children born outside marriage in Scotland is at an all-time high, latest figures show.

A report from the Registrar General for Scotland also revealed that divorces have reached a 30-year low. And it showed that, in 2011, the number of deaths in Scotland hit their lowest level since records began more than 150 years ago.
