WIDESPREAD outbreaks of measles in 30 African countries threaten to reverse advances made against the disease, the World Health Organisation warned yesterday.

More than 1,100 deaths have been reported among 64,000 cases in Africa in the past year. Chad, Nigeria and Zimbabwe had the largest outbreaks.
