Ladies who lunch raise £40k for Maggie’s

A FUNDRAISING lunch has raised £41,532 for Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres.

The event at the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa was attended by 500 women and hosted by Radio Forth DJ Grant Stott with guest speaker River City actress Libby McArthur. Entertainment was provided by the Sing in the City Choir.

The hotel’s director of sales and marketing Sue Finlay said: “I am utterly overwhelmed by the support and generosity of everyone involved.

“I had hoped to get 400 ladies along this year so to get 500 was incredible and to break my target of £40,000 is just amazing.

“I want to thank everyone who so generously supported this event from those who bought tickets and tables to the companies and people who donated prizes.”
