Info day for those affected by illness
This Information Fayre is for anyone in the local area who has been affected by a life limiting illness and who wants to find out what information and support is available to them.
Along with information on the services provided by The Haven there will also be representatives present from South Lanarkshire Carers Network, Carers Trust, South Lanarkshire Leisure’s Physical Activity Prescription, Prostate Scotland, Coop Funeralcare, Money Matters Advice Service and Tide Support for Dementia Carers.

Hide AdLouise Gardner, Service Development Co-ordinator at The Haven said: “This Information Fayre is open to anyone at all in the Clydesdale area who has been affected by a life limiting illness, whether they are a carer, a family member or living with the illness.
“As well there being information available first hand from a number of extremely valuable organisations we will also be offering taster sessions in complimentary therapies to our visitors as well as tea, coffee and tours of the centre.
“If anyone in the local community is interested in speaking to us or any of the organisations in attendance or would just like to come and enjoy the Haven experience first hand we would urge them to pop along.”
The Haven supports people affected by illness such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s disease and dementia and offers a programme of support designed to help individuals cope with the physical, emotional and practical aspects of their illness. The charity provides support for people at all stages from the point of diagnosis onwards and is specifically tailored to meet the needs of the individual. The Haven operates as a drop in centre with no need for medical referral and all services are provided free of charge.
