Hospital gets the all-clear

WARDS at Liberton Hospital have reopened to patients and visitors following a norovirus outbreak.

NHS Lothian had imposed a temporary restriction on visitors to prevent the spread of the vomiting bug, while some wards were shut to new patients.

It was announced yesterday that all areas had reopened and the visitor ban, which lasted for three weeks in affected areas, was no longer necessary.
