Flying doctors win top medical award

SCOTLAND'S flying doctor service, which flies intensive care consultants to patients in remote and rural communities, has won a prestigious national award.

The Emergency Medical Retrieval Service (EMRS) has been awarded the Secondary Care Team of the Year Award in the BMJ Group Awards. The EMRS Team were given the award for their efforts in remote and rural parts of the west of Scotland.
