Fears over rise of indoor playtime

A LACK of free play is prompting fears among mothers about children's health and emotional development, according to a poll.

Concerns about safety and hygiene are reducing children's unstructured play time and encouraging sedentary, indoor activities, an online poll of 1,033 UK mothers by Dettol found.

More than half of UK children mainly play indoors.
