UK death toll rises by more than 100 in a day for first time
The death toll has risen from 475 to 578 which is the biggest jump the country has seen since the coronavirus outbreak began.
Three more people died in both Scotland and Northern Ireland, as well as six more in Wales.

Hide AdA total of 104,866 people have been tested, of whom 93,208 tested negative and 11,568 were positive.
People who continue to flout coronavirus lockdown rules will be breaking the law and can be arrested as part of new enforcement powers.
Officers can also tell them to go home, leave or disperse an area and ensure parents are taking necessary steps to stop their children breaking the law.
Those who refuse to comply could be issued with a fixed penalty notice of £60, which will be lowered to £30 if paid within 14 days.
Makeshift field hospitals are set to be built in Scotland to handle an expected rise in Coronavirus cases, with "detailed discussions" already underway on potential sites, it has emerged.
There have been more than 700 cases in Scotland and the chief medical officer said this will keep rising in the short-term before the impact of the lockdown is seen.
