Data released by the Scottish Government breaks down the number of positive covid-19 cases per 100,000 people, according to neighbourhood.
This data is from December 11 and December 17.
North Ayrshire has become the worst hit area with 196.7 cases per 100,000 population, while at the bottom of the scale, and not included on this list, sits the Orkney Islands and the Shetland Islands which didn’t record a single new case between them.

1. Clackmannanshire
Clackmannanshire is top of the list this week having recorded 207.6 coronavirus cases per 100,000 population, with a total of 107 new cases between November 27 and December 3. Photo: JPIMedia
2. Argyll and Bute
Argyll and Bute recorded 165.4 coronavirus cases per 100,000 population which makes it second on the list this week. This area recorded a total of 142 new cases in the last seven days. Photo: Google
3. Renfrewshire

4. Glasgow City
