'She’s been consistently right from the start about Covid ': Piers Morgan praises work of Edinburgh University based public health expert

Piers Morgan has praised the work of Edinburgh University based public health expert Professor Devi Sridhar, saying that she has been ‘consistently right’ from the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Good Morning Britain host retweeted the Professors New Year tweet, that warned that the start of 2021 will be ‘rocky’, and said: “If you listen to one expert in this crisis, make it Devi.

"She’s been consistently right from the start about covid & has zero political bias.”

Professor Sridhar responded to the message saying: “Thank *you* Piers for standing up for public health and for NHS staff and using your voice for science, reason and holding government to account.

"You’ve been incredible!”

Professor Sridhar is a Professor at Edinburgh University Medical School and Chair of Global Public Health and has been a prominent voice during the coronavirus pandemic.

She has also appeared on Good Morning Breakfast several times to be interviewed by Morgan.
