The First Minister is expected to set out a “firmer timeline” for lifting restrictions - including on retail and hospitality - when she updates MSPs.

In February, she unveiled a roadmap detailing how Covid rules in the country will be gradually eased, giving provisional dates for the phased reopening of the economy.

This will begin with the relaxation of the current tight Level 4 rules, before areas move back into the level system used before the lockdown.
