Nicola Sturgeon: 70 more deaths linked to Covid-19 as Scotland total hits 366
Speaking at a live press conference in St Andrews House, Nicola Sturgeon said the figures were the most accurate that the Government could produce on a daily basis.
Ms Sturgeon said the National Records of Scotland would publish a separate weekly total of deaths, which would include deaths of people who had not been formally tested for Covid-19, but whose doctors had determined the virus to be a cause or contributory factor in their death.

The figures
The Scottish death toll from Covid-19 now stands at 366, an increase of 70 on the same time yesterday.
National Records of Scotland’s weekly figures state that as of Sunday, April 5, 354 people had died from Covid-19 in Scotland. Their next update will be in a week’s time.
Ms Sturgeon said 210 Scots are in intensive care recovering from the virus, 11 more than yesterday.
The latest figures released by the Scottish Government today reveal that 4,565 people have now contracted coronavirus.
