Dr Calderwood controversy

It is the first coronavirus press conference that the First Minister has made without former Chief Medical Officer Dr Catherine Calderwood also being present.

Dr Calderwood resigned late last night after photos taken by The Scottish Sun showed her breaking lockdown rules by visiting her second home.

She later admitted to having visited a second time, with her husband.

Her deputy, Dr Gregor Smith, has taken over as acting Chief Medical Officer for the foreseeable future, and attended the press conference.
