Coronavirus in Scotland: Red Cross warns of bogus Covid-19 testers

Charity said any offers of testing are fake.

The statement on Twitter read: “We’ve heard reports on social media that people are claiming to be Red Cross volunteers and falsely offering coronavirus tests.

“These are fake: we are NOT conducting any tests anywhere in the UK.

“We've reported it to the police. Please ask to see ID if anyone reaches out to you.”

Red Cross is a humanitarian charity that formed 150 years ago to help people across the UK and beyond in times of crisis.
