Coronavirus in Scotland: Over 9,000 deaths registered in the country with Covid mentioned on death certificate

The National Records of Scotland has released their latest statistics on coronavirus.

They have reported that there have been 9,053 registered in Scotland that have coronavirus mentioned on the death certificate as of February 14.

323 deaths were registered from 8-14 Feb, a decrease of 54 deaths from the previous week.

Over 80% of these deaths occurred in hospital representing 266 deaths and 42 deaths occurred in care homes.

Wednesday has seen 1,121 new cases of the virus reported in the last 24 hours.
