Coronavirus: Latest death and infection rates in Scotland announced

The increase takes the total number of fatalities from the disease to 893.

The Scottish Government said 38,233 people in Scotland have been tested.

Of these, 30,413 were confirmed negative.

A total of 7,820 were positive

Last night, 182 patients were in intensive care in Scotland with 178 of those having tested positive for Covid-19.

Greater Glasgow and Clyde has the highest number of confirmed cases at 1,794 with 580 sufferers being treated in hospital and 67 in intensive care.

Lothian has 1,172 confirmed cases with 278 patients in hospital and 30 in intensive care.

Lanarkshire has 934 confirmed cases with 261 patients in hospital and 29 in intensive care.

Fife has 448 confirmed cases with Forth Valley reporting 431, Grampian 394, Tayside 979 and Highland 187.
