Coronavirus in Scotland: Nicola Sturgeon receives first dose of the coronavirus vaccine
Nicola Sturgeon tweeted that she had received the AstraZeneca vaccine on Thursday.
She wrote: “Just had my first dose of vaccine (AZ for anyone wondering).
"It truly is an emotional moment.

Hide Ad"Thanks to the wonderful vaccinator who put me so much at ease, and to teams across the country.
"Please get vaccinated as soon as you are able.
"It really will help us back to normal.”
In Scotland, 2,708,691 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 661,975 have received their second dose.
On Thursday there were 237 new cases of Covid reported.
155 people are in hospital with the virus and 16 people in intensive care.
There has been one new reported death of someone who had tested positive.
