Coronavirus in Scotland: 803 new cases in the last 24 hours as 29 more deaths are recorded

In the last 24 hours, 29 additional deaths have been recorded in Scotland while 803 new cases have been reported.

Here are the latest coronavirus figures in Scotland.

In total 19,882 new tests for Covid-19 were carried out, 4.6 per cent of which were positive.

1,154 people are currently in hospital with the virus which is a decrease of 68 from the figure reported yesterday.

102 people are currently in intensive care, which is three more than the figure reported yesterday.

As of 8.30am today, 1,412,643 people had received their first dose of the vaccine in Scotland and 33,473 had received their second dose.

The 29 additional deaths recorded in the last 24 hours brings the death toll in Scotland, under this daily measurement, to 6,945.

With the additional 803 positive cases today, since the start of the pandemic, 196,642 people have tested positive for the virus in Scotland.
