In the last 24 hours, 11 deaths have been recorded in Scotland while 498 new cases have been reported.

157 cases were recorded in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board area, 107 were in Lanarkshire and 73 were in the Lothians.

666 people are currently in hospital with the virus which is a decrease of 52 from the figure reported yesterday.

64 people are currently in intensive care, which is three fewer than the figure reported yesterday.

As of 8.30am today, 1,717,672 people had received their first dose of the vaccine in Scotland

This is an increase of 29,064 since yesterday.

8,139 people received their second dose of the vaccine yesterday, meaning that so far, 108,197 people have received their second dose.

The 11 additional deaths recorded in the last 24 hours brings the death toll in Scotland, under this daily measurement, to 7,409.
