Coronavirus in Scotland: 31 new deaths and 1,072 new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours
The First Minister announced today that 31 more people have died in the last 24 hours in Scotland and 1,072 more people tested positive for the virus.
Of the new cases 460 were in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board area, 210 in NHS Lanarkshire, 75 were in Ayrshire and Arran and 112 new cases were recorded in NHS Lothian.
The First Minister confirmed that 1,237 people are in hospital with the virus, a decrease of 15 from the figure reported yesterday.

Hide Ad98 people are in intensive care, which is an increase of three people from yesterday.
In total, Scotland has recorded 70,732 positive cases since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
The death toll currently is 2,997.
