Capitol Building attack: FBI put up $50K reward for information after suspected pipe bombs left in Washington

The FBI have put up a $50K reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who left suspected pipe bombs in Washington.

Emergency services received reports of a suspected pipe bomb outside both the Republican National Committee at 310 First Street Southeast and the Democratic National Committee at 430 South Capitol Street Southeast in Washington DC.

Both of these reports came in on January 6 as pro Trump rioters took to the streets outside Capitol Building to protest the 2020 Presidential election.

A group then forced entry to the Capitol Building, where a joint session in Congress was postponed, and law makers either evacuated or told to hide somewhere safe.

President Trump has faced criticism, possible impeachment as well as calls to step down after the attack, which was fulled by his false claims that the election was rigged.

Four people died during the incident, including one police officer.
