The Scottish Government has released the latest coronavirus statistics showing that another five people have died of the virus.

The death toll under the government measurements is now at 2,447.

As of today, 15,730 people have tested positive.

The government statistics include everyone who has officially tested positive for the virus after receiving a test, whereas the National Records of Scotland include all those who have coronavirus mentioned on the death certificate.

The NRS release suggests that 4,000 people in the country have died from coronavirus.
