Coronavirus in Wales: The Welsh Government has announced a circuit-breaker lockdown
All non-essential shops as well as pubs and restaurants will close and people have been asked to stay at home.
All indoor and outdoor gatherings have been banned unless involved one single household.
Nicola Sturgeon has said that Scotland will be keeping “all options under review” during her daily press conference on Monday, but added that the country was not in a similar position to Wales due to current restrictions.
Monday saw 993 positive cases of coronavirus in Scotland, with 754 patients in hospital and 61 patients in intensive care.
Tragically, one person has died in the last 24 hours after testing positive with the virus.
Ms Sturgeon thanked the country for obeying the new restrictions over the weekend, particularly the household rule after concerns were raised that the Old Firm game would lead to rule breaking.
