Coronavirus in Scotland: Four more Covid-19 cases confirmed in Hawick outbreak as total number of cases rises to 11

Four more Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in Hawick, bringing the total number of positive cases in the town to 11.

Health chiefs in the Borders have been dealing with an outbreak in the town, with seven cases previously identified linked to the Morrisons supermarket, Trinity Bar and Baguette & Go in the town.

The NHS Borders test and protect team says none of the 11 cases are causing any clinical concern.

The health authority is continuing to contact anyone who may be affected, with close contacts being advised to self-isolate and given appropriate advice.

Members of the public are being reminded to wear face coverings in enclosed spaces, avoid crowded places, clean hands regularly, maintain a two metre social distance and to self-isolate and book a test if they have symptoms.
