Coronavirus in Scotland: 555 new cases of covid reported today

Out of the 22,992 new tests for covid that reported results, 3.0% (684) of these were positive,

Sadly, there have been 12 new reported deaths of people who have tested positive for the virus in the past day.

63 people were in intensive care and 639 were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed covid.

Since March 6, 7,421 people have died who have tested positive- including the additional 172 deaths identified by Public Health Scotland on 3 March, and an additional 3 recently registered deaths that were identified by Public Health Scotland on March 4.

A total of 1,743,869 people have received the first dose of the covid vaccination and 114,081 have received their second dose.
