Due to a “hold-up” in the processing of data, the First Minister did not offer an update on the number of people who have received the first dose of the vaccine so far.

She said the data would be published “as soon as possible”.

Ms Sturgeon did say that around 60 per cent of people over 80 and living in the community have now had their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

She added that Scotland is on track to complete the target of administering first doses to all over-80’s by the end of next week, and in fact, it is looking like the “vast majority” of over-80’s will have received their first dose by the start of next week.
