Ambitious drug charity launched

A NATIONAL charity aimed at helping addicts get off drugs was launched yesterday by community safety minister Fergus Ewing.

The Scottish Drug Recovery Consortium is funded by the government and is intended to deliver the national drugs strategy, The Road To Recovery, published two years ago. It will support recovery for drug addicts, as well as supporting families and communities.

Mr Ewing said: "This is another commitment which will ensure that the ethos of recovery is embedded in the minds of all of those affected by problem drug use."
