64% of Britons skip breakfast

ABOUT two-thirds of Britons miss out on the most important meal of the day, according to a survey.

Some 64 per cent time- conscious Britons sacrifice breakfast for extra time in bed or to get to work earlier. When the UK does make time for toast or cereal, it is likely to be in the office.

Most of those who still have breakfast eat between 7-8am in their living room while watching TV, and take about 20 minutes. Men skip their morning meal the most, with 74 per cent admitting lunch is their first meal of the day.

A total of 2,500 families from across the UK were polled.
