When do Scottish exam results come out? What happens on Scotland's 2020 exam results day and how to find out your grades?
Tens of thousands of pupils will find out their grades as the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) publishes exam results on Tuesday, August 4.
Grades this year for National 5s, Higher and Advanced Highers will be based on teacher estimates, built around prelim results and submitted course work.

Here is some more information on what to expect during results day this year.
What time do exam results come out?
SQA exam results will be released on Tuesday 4 August 2020. Your Scottish Qualification Certificate (SQC) will arrive by first class post on this date. If you have signed up to MySQA you will receive results by text or email on this day at 8am.
What qualifications will be published?
Results will be published for National 4, National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher qualifications
How will exams be graded this year?

If something is wrong or missing from your certificate, call your school/college who will then contact SQA.
The advice line, which can be contacted on 0345 279 1000, is open Tuesday, August 4 and Wednesday 5 from 8am to 6pm and Friday, August 7 from 8:30am to 5pm. Alternatively you can email [email protected].
SQA said it is dealing with an “unprecedented” grading situation this year.

Hide AdThe organisation confirmed it is dealing with more than 20,000 papers and will not have the time to go around all schools where it changes marks submitted by teachers.
Pupils will however be able to go through a free appeals process this year, according to SQA chief executive Fiona Robertson, to provide “further, evidence-based consideration of grades if schools and colleges do not think awarded grades fairly reflect performance.”
Priority in the appeals process will be given to requests from pupils who are depending on the results they receive to secure a conditional place at college or university.
