Teachers and students go on run for Verity

PUPILS and teachers at Fettes College are expecting to have raised more than £10,000 after a sponsored run.

More than 600 people took part in either a 5k, 10k or half marathon race to raise funds for CHAS, the Children's Hospice Association of Scotland, in memory of Verity, a pupil who died last year.

The 5k group of 275 runners included a pack of Crayola crayons, a bee, and one student who moved on her hands and knees, dressed as a dog.
