Students visit city veterans

STUDENTS from Edinburgh Global Partnerships (EGP) gave up their spare time to enjoy a cup of tea with the Capital's veterans recently.

EGP aims to offer assistance by fundraising and volunteering for sustainable community-led development projects overseas.

The students offered to lend a hand at the new fundraising event for veterans' charity Erskine – the Great Scottish Tea Party.

They recently spent an afternoon at the Erskine Edinburgh Home in Gilmerton, befriending some of the 76 veterans being cared for.
