Students run annual race for all levels

SPORTS students at West Lothian College have organised its annual 5K road race event for professional and amateur runners.

Competitors from across Scotland are expected to attend this year's race, which takes place at 7pm next Wednesday.

Organised by HND sports coaching and development students as part of their events management module, the class will also be there on the evening marshalling the race and ensuring runners follow the course mapped out around the college grounds.

College principal Mhairi Laughlan said:

"Our HND students have done a great job planning the race."
