Students grill poll hopefuls

STUDENTS at Edinburgh University have organised an election hustings with candidates for the Edinburgh South ward.

Students are being encouraged to attend to quiz candidates on what their priorities are for higher education.

University staff, local schools and youth forums and community councils have also been invited to attend the event, which will take place on 26 April.

Panel members are Neil Hudson (Conservatives), Ian Murray (Labour), Fred Mackintosh (Liberal Democrats), Sandy Howat (SNP), as well as Robin Harper, the Green candidate for Edinburgh East.
