Spelling error in Scots council's job ad for English teacher

A Scottish council has blundered by advertising a vacancy for an English teacher - with a spelling error in the advert.

North Ayrshire Council advertised for a ‘Teacher of Enlgish’, stating that candidates should have a good ‘knowledge and understanding of literacy’.

But there are more than 60 mistakes in the advert, mostly lack of punctuation.

The job, based in Saltcoats, was advertised on numerous websites including s1jobs.
