Sophie's got a story to tell

AN EDINBURGH schoolgirl has won an international literary prize for her short story.

Sophie Williams, a junior pupil at St Margaret's School, took first place in her age group in the St Paul's Barcelona International Literary Prize.

The competition is open to entrants across the world who are invited to submit a short story.

Sophie's entry, Max and Maisie Save the Planet, will be published and the youngster has been invited to attend the award ceremony in Barcelona on 15 April.
