Pupils tune in to timetable on the move

SCHOOL pupils sitting their exams this year will be able to download a mobile phone app to build their own personal timetable.

More than 1,500 pupils have already signed up to the Scottish Qualifications Authority-endorsed programme, which can be downloaded for free on i-Tunes.

The app also provides information and resources to help students prepare for their exams, such as SQA's Your Exams guide, which includes advice on what to expect and what to do, and information on how results and certificates will be delivered.

Students signing up for the MySQA service will be sent their exam results by text and e-mail a day earlier than when the paper certificates are delivered on 5 August.

SQA's head of marketing, John McMorris, said: "SQA is committed to providing guidance and support to help students through this important time.

"We are delighted with the interest in this app."
