Pupils make their voices heard

Campaigners, including several pupils, held a protest outside the City Chambers to urge councillors to keep a city high school open.

Council officers have recommended that Castlebrae Community High School closes in July. But campaign group Save the Brae made their point at yesterday’s protest with songs and posters featuring messages including “Don’t be a fool, save our school”. Their protest could be heard in the City Chambers, where the education committee was meeting.

A decision will be made on the proposed closure of Castlebrae next Thursday.
