Pupils join swap shop to trade books

CHILDREN at Lasswade Primary were set to recycle their old books today.

The youngsters were due to take part in the ScottishPower Story Swap Shop, a reading initiative run in partnership with the Edinburgh International Book Festival and Friends of the Earth Scotland.

Youngsters at the Midlothian school all donated 50p to take part in the event, which is designed to enable them to swap their unwanted old books for new ones.
